HOCKEY V8 NEW FEATURES

 

1) GAME LOBBY - This is a feature that allows you to hook up with other players to play Netplay games!  Now you can hang out in the lobby and chat about Strat Hockey.  Feel like playing a game?  Just hook up with someone else in the lobby and start playing!

 

2) BATCH REPORTING -  You run the same reports each month, and it takes you half an hour to do them all.  Well, not anymore!  Batch Reporting allows you to define a batch of reports that can you can run anytime in a matter of seconds.  A great time saver for league commissioners.  And output can be defined to be either regular Strat-O-Matic PRT files or HTML files.

 

3) TEAM STATS COMPARISON REPORT - A new Team Stats Comparison report has been added that shows the players ACTUAL STATS and the REPLAY STATS so that you can compare stats.  These comparisons are shown for skaters and goalies, and team totals are also included.

 

4) COMPUTER MANAGER - You are now able to view the player card within the computer manager when double-clicking on a player on the Lineup tab or a goalie on the Goalie tab.  You can also double-click players in the grid area of Offensive and Defensive tabs.

 

5) MODEL LEAGUE - After running the Model League function, there is now a report that shows which players and goalies were not found.

 

6) PLAY-BY-PLAY - The Play-by-play has been enhanced to include many new play accounts.

 

7) QUICKPLAY - Quick Play has been improved by adding "quick play until next goal is scored"

 

8) PENALTY SHOTS - Failed Penalty Shots are now recorded in the Boxscore just as the NHL does.

 

9) STARS OF THE GAME - have been added to the League leader board and in the Reports section for each player (individual totals - 1st Star, 2nd Star and 3rd Star)

 

10)  NEW SEASONS) Support has been added for the following new seasons: 1950-51, 1973-74, 1977-78, 2007-08.

 

 

BUGS FIXED IN HOCKEY V8

1) Fixed bug that affected the launching of the Encyclopedia and the Report Writer just after switching from/to Daylight Savings Time.

 

 

DATA PROBLEMS FIXED IN HOCKEY V8

Note: These data fixes cannot be used for seasons already in-progress.  You must reinstall a fresh copy of these rosters in order to see these changes.

 

1) 1974-75 Atlanta - Team code changed to ATF.

 

2) 1994-95 & 1996-97 - Corrected the players on Florida so their team codes are now FLA.

 

3) 1995-96 - Corrected the players on Ottawa so their team codes are now OTT.

 

4) 1979-80 - Recomputed player cards for Guy LaPointe (Montreal) and Don Ashby (Edmonton) based upon corrected statistics.  Also moved Washington to the Patrick Division.
