A New Strat Baseball Champion is Crowned

Wayne Cannon of Oklahoma City won the STAR Tournaments’ World Championship in Las Vegas, making him the 18th different winner in the 21 years that a champion has been crowned at the end of a national tournament tour.

Cannon earned the top prize after compiling a record of 33-14 over three days in competition with 66 other Strat-O-Matic baseball players.

In winning his first world title, Cannon used ace pitcher Johann Santana and a lineup featuring Todd Helton, Eric Chavez, Luis Castillo, Brady Clark and Mark Kotsay.
