2011 is the 50th Anniversary of Strat-O-Matic; it is also the 50th Anniversary of the 1961 baseball season, one of the most exciting seasons in baseball history, highlighted by the incredible homerun chase between Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Maris would finish the season with 61 homeruns, a Major League record at the time, and Mantle with 54.
