This week’s 3-Minute Baseball features an all-Boston World Series that almost was, but never quite came to fruition. In 1948, the Boston Braves cruised to a National League Pennant. The Braves would ultimately lose the World Series in six games to the Cleveland Indians, however, the Boston Red Sox, at 96-59 in the regular season, finished just one game behind Cleveland for the AL Pennant. How would the Sox have fared in the World Series against the Braves had it been them playing?
