This week’s 3-Minute Baseball features a rematch of the 1985 World Series, also known as the I-70 Series since both teams were from cities in Missouri, connected by Interstate 70. A blown call in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 6 helped Kansas City stave off elimination, which St. Louis would never recover from. The Cards imploded in Game 7, losing by a score of 11-0 and giving Kansas City its first and only World Series title. Kansas City came back from a three games to one deficit in the series to knock off their in-state rivals.
