Talk about competitive: This is fierce. Montreal won the regular season. Toronto won the Stanley Cup, but only after all three playoff series went the full seven games for the first time in NHL history. Chicago had the most goals and the league’s most explosive three goal scorers in Bobby Hull (43), Stan Mikita (39) and Ken Wharram (39).
