This league is rich in star power. And with the computer game, you get all 16 teams, 10 more than the card set. Boston’s Phil Esposito (55g, 130p), Bobby Orr (29g, 101p) and John Bucyk (40g) led the NHL’s top offense. Guy Lafluer, Yvan Cournoyer and Frank Mahovlich were maybe the most famous set of wingers on any team – a team that won 52 games with goalie Ken Dryden. The Rangers’ Goal-A-Game line led by Jean Ratelle (41g) was backed by D Brad Park and G Ed Giacomin. Buffalo’s Gilbert Perreault centered Rick Martin (37g) and Rene Robert (40g). Detroit’s Marcel Dionne (40g) and Mickey Redmond (52g) got the Wings into the playoffs and Chicago’s Stan Mikita and Tony Esposito (league-best 32 wins) helped the Hawks to the Western Division title and Stanley Cup finals.
