But the body of each card will be based on the blended batting and pitching stats that, in many cases, will make players more strongly resemble the careers they have assembled prior to 2020. After all, baseball history is filled with examples of players who turned around first-half slumps to become the stars they had always been. So is history full of 60-game wonders who wilted in long summers as the law of averages leveled their gaudy promise.
